Batiks are made Entirely By Hand, printed in 2 meter textile pieces, using fine quality silk and colourful dyes. Depending on the Batik complexity and colour, this can take a skilled artist many days to complete.
Batiks are considered an Original Work Of Art and a true treasure.

In September of last year I departed Canada for Bali, Indonesia. This part of the World is so beautiful and lush and green. Streets are lined with Temples, Artists, Cafe, Green Green Fields, flowing water and so much more...
Cafe "Yellow Flower" was having a book reading By Tamara Watson; a friend of mine that I met while driving the Water Taxi in British Columbia, Canada. Also in attendance was a man named Rama, Beautiful, Amazing... a very accomplished designer, from Catalonia, Spain. He had been living in Bali for about 10 years. It didn't take long before he was showing me a brochure of his latest creation he had just finished. I was in LOVE..., He had a few pieces left!
With the book reading over and the sun still up..., on the bikes we got and we were off to a secluded beach, it was beautiful. We spent the afternoon swimming and playing in the sand, it was bliss!
On the way back we stopped at Rama's house for a shower and to see the SILK. He brought two down from the Loft... 30 seconds later I found myself asking how many others he had. Five bags of silk came raining down from the loft. Decisions, decisions... I loved them all, and could not bare to leave any behind. We were leaving soon for Singapore, Rama offered that I could send a Wire Transfer from my Bank once we arrived. I offered to pay now with "1 Troy Ounce of Pur Gold". Rama was thrilled, he had been wanting to acquire some Gold and here was his chance. So I paid in Gold, for the Silk from Bali, Indonesia, designer from Catalonia, Spain and just for the record I'm from Unity, Saskatchewan!
So with the transaction complete we said farewell, we were off to Singapore, Silk in tow. Once in Singapore we sent the Silk on another journey... to Canada. And we continued our travels until one day when we would meet again.
